For your first visit at Monadnock Occupational Therapy, dress in loose comfortable clothing. You won't need to undress.

After taking your health history and asking you to fill out some paperwork, Abby LaRock will:

  • Observe you as you walk, stand or bend
  • Listen closely as you describe any aches, pains or constraints on your movement
  • Evaluate your problems with gentle tests for range of motion and strength
  • Discuss treatment options, including referrals if needed

How can I tell if occupational therapy is right for me? Maybe I need physical therapy.

There are many overlaps between physical and occupational therapy. Usually occupational therapists specialize in the upper body, but Abby LaRock is also qualified to treat lower back, hip and leg problems. She has advanced training in occupational therapy, certifications in ergonomics and Bowenwork and years of experience in rehabilitation. If she can’t help, she’ll refer you to someone who can. Phone her at 924-7814 or email for more information.

Patient Testimonial:

The first visit was simple. In addition to Abby gaining an understanding of my injury, I learned alot about how it was effecting my body too.
